MBRRACE-UK

Hosted by the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU), MBRRACE-UK leads the UK’s national Maternal, Newborn and Infant Clinical Outcome Review Programme (MNI-CORP).

Its core purpose is to conduct robust surveillance and confidential enquiries into deaths and serious morbidity in pregnancy, childbirth, and the early postnatal period including maternal deaths up to one year after pregnancy, as well as stillbirths, neonatal deaths, and selected cases of infant morbidity.

Through annual and topic-specific reports, MBRRACE-UK distils lessons learned and issues recommendations aimed at improving the safety, equity, and quality of maternal, newborn, and infant care across the UK.

This is a vital resource for clinicians, midwives, health system leaders, and policymakers who aim to use data-driven insight to prevent avoidable deaths and enhance maternity and newborn services.
